Brass pill press
High quality and unusual brass pill press engraved "Patent Richard Simon Nottingham" and numbered 251 on both the handle and the head. An intricate mechanism with a hinged lid allows the pills to be pressed into a template. The pill "dough" would then be cut by means of the attached rotating knife and then removed on an early bakelite perforated plate.
