Piece had been arranged and framed by Helinka, removed from frame by archivist. Multiple layers of cream colored lace folded like book with address and “Ellen Marie” glued to beaded ribbon with decorative button, beaded ribbon wraps around back of book and into the piece. Piece opens to hand embroidered cream fabric, velvet leaves and deteriorating silk flower stems, dandelion seeds, bits of typed text, rose petals, silver colored heart button, “your letter has touched my heart” hand written in ink.
